Does this work on any Shopify store?
It works on any Shopify product URL, whatever theme the store uses. The tool reads the public product file every Shopify store already serves at /products/<handle>.json, the same data the storefront loads for shoppers. Non-Shopify stores such as Amazon, Walmart, or Etsy aren't supported.
Is it free?
Yes. A lookup costs nothing and needs no account. PriceTrackly itself is free during the beta, so tracking a product and getting email alerts costs nothing right now. The planned price after the beta is $29/month.
Does it store my data?
There's no account and no lookup history tied to you. To stay fast and prevent abuse, two short-lived cache entries exist: the product snapshot for 10 minutes and a counter per IP address for up to 1 hour, capped at 30 lookups per hour. Both expire on their own. The tool doesn't save your lookup to a profile and never emails you.
How fresh is the price?
A first lookup reads the store live. If the same product was looked up in the last 10 minutes, you get that cached snapshot instead, so the price is at most 10 minutes old.
